Here at EVA-Woodforest Veterinary Medical Center, we are happy to be able to offer dermatology services to our patients.
Dermatology revolves around the skin. Many pets routinely have skin problems, which can be quite challenging for our veterinarians.
Some of the skin problems we routinely see include fleas and other parasites. Our office also commonly sees allergies, infections, autoimmune diseases, and cancers that affect apets’ skin condition.
Many pets itch when they are faced with a skin condition. Left untreated, pets can lose their hair. This still won’t stop them from scratching, and pets can develop skin infections from all of their itching. Some pets have skin problems only once in a while, while others seem to be scratching all of the time.
We will do everything that we can do to get your pets some relief, though first we need to determine the cause of your pets’ itchiness. We are proud to be able to offer our patients many dermatologic procedures. We offer allergy and fungal testing, along with the cultures and biopsies if needed.
Here at EVA-Woodforest Veterinary Medical Center, we are pleased to have a laboratory in our hospital.
With an in-house laboratory we are able to perform many diagnostic tests quickly and efficiently. We are also proud to have the ability to offer not only some simple tests but also some more complex tests, too!
The best part of being able to run laboratory tests in our hospital is that we can diagnose your pets sooner so they can start feeling better even faster. There are some tests for which we can have results in just a few minutes instead of having to wait at least a day (or more) to get them from the laboratory.
If your pets are not feeling well, come see us so you can get answers faster than you’d expect. We will do everything we can to make sure your pets are feeling better as soon as possible!
